Terms and Conditions of Participation and Cancellation
We plan our retreats with great care and in close collaboration with local partners in the Galápagos Islands.
Therefore, the following cancellation policy applies.
Cancellation Policy
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel cancellation insurance, as cancellation may result in costs.
The following cancellation policy applies to our retreats:
Up to 120 days before the retreat begins
If you cancel up to 120 days before the arrival date, no cancellation fees will apply. Only a processing fee of €100 will be charged.
119 to 46 days before the retreat begins
For cancellations made between 119 and 46 days before the arrival date, 20% of the total price will be charged.
45 days before the retreat begins
For cancellations made between 45 days before the arrival date and the start of the retreat, 100% of the total price will be charged.
This policy is necessary because some services must be reserved in advance with our local partners in the Galápagos Islands (e.g., accommodations, transportation, guides, and activities).
If another person is able to take your place, we will be happy to consider rebooking for a replacement participant.
Terms and Conditions for Retreats
Registration and Booking
Registration for a retreat must be submitted in writing via the booking form on the website or by email. The booking becomes binding upon confirmation of registration by the organizer.
A deposit is due after the booking is confirmed. The remaining balance must be paid by the date specified in the booking confirmation at the latest.
Your spot in the retreat is considered firmly reserved only after the deposit has been received.
Minimum and Maximum Number of Participants
Retreats take place in small groups to ensure a personal and immersive experience.
The maximum number of participants is 12.
If the required minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the retreat. In this case, any payments already made will be refunded in full.
Program Changes
The retreat program is planned with the utmost care. However, adjustments to the program may be necessary due to weather conditions, organizational reasons, or local circumstances on the Galápagos Islands.
Such changes are always made in the best interest of the participants and to ensure the safe conduct of the retreat.
Participants’ Responsibility
Participation in the retreat is at your own risk. Each participant is personally responsible for realistically assessing their physical and mental health.
If you have any health restrictions, please inform us in advance.
Insurance
We recommend that all participants purchase appropriate travel insurance, particularly trip cancellation insurance and international health insurance.
Liability
The organizer is liable, within the scope of legal provisions, for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
No liability is assumed for participants’ personal belongings.
Terms and Conditions for Working with Horses
Part of the retreat involves mindfulness-based interactions and exercises with horses.
This work is done from the ground and does not involve riding.
Interacting with the Horses
The horses at the sanctuary are rescued animals that are treated with great care and respect.
Participants agree to follow the instructions of the retreat leaders and the local horse caretakers at all times.
Safety
Interaction with horses takes place under expert guidance. Nevertheless, these are large animals with their own behavior.
Each participant therefore assumes responsibility for their own behavior during the exercises.
Physical Requirements
No prior experience is required to participate in the activities with horses.
However, participants should possess basic physical mobility and be willing to move mindfully in nature.
Respectful Treatment of Nature and Animals
Since the retreat takes place in a particularly sensitive natural landscape, all participants commit to treating the environment and the animals with respect and in a sustainable manner.
